Towns in the UK with high immigration and high levels of diversity are doing better economically than regions with little.
A new study in England and Wales shows a significant link between rising diversity and rising prosperity no matter what metric is used to find the data. The survey provided by Hope Not Hate, an anti-racism charity, was designed to challenge the negative perceptions of immigration that some people have. The outcome of the analysis was clear that when diversity grows, prosperity also increases.

Recommendations are also given about how the local councils and government as a whole can manage demographic change. The UK welcomes newcomers and provides them with many opportunities. The analysis compared 285 council regions apart from large cities, which used indicators such as economic growth, housing costs, employment, wages, and reductions in deprivation between 2011 and 2019. It matched these factors to the percentage of the foreign-born population, which part of the population is transient, and the level of non-white British ethnic background at a local level.
The results showed the 50 regions with the highest GDP reported the immigrant communities grew at more than twice the pace of the 50 areas with the lowest GDP increases.
